    5 star service every time I rent from Europcar Cambridge!! I used to rent with Enterprise in the past but since renting with Europcar I would never go anywhere else.

    Despite spending hours on the phone to Customer Services it was clear that their policy is simply to completely ignore any issue like this. I ended up getting the train back to Cambridge (an extra £150 on top of the car hire). Apparently this counts as a breakdown, and not them hiring our vehicles that are not road worthy.

    Avoid if you can. There are much friendlier/more reliable car rental companies in Cambridge. We paid for renting a van in the weekend, then got a call the next day that no van was available. They were happy to take the money though, and a week later, neither the car rental cost nor the deposit has been returned as of yet... The customer service desk happily will tell you that that returning money can take quite a while (taking it is fast enough, though) and that they cannot see the status of returns. Terrible customer service.

    Delivery was the evening before I needed the van - only lucky that I was in to take BUT I was not happy to be responsible for it over night parked on the pavement of a busy road. I am still trying to arrange for it to be collected after use - on the phone now for 45 minutes. 4 different customer service people. They keep telling me they are putting me through to the station but then I either get a silent line or dreadful Musak. Eventually through to someone - no drivers able to collect tonight. So the up shot is that I am driving it back to the station. I don't want another night where the van may be damaged and my responsibility.

    Rented a car through Europcar -The steering felt very odd, and the ABS warning light was on. When the AA were called they found the sensor had been taped on with duct tape and extremely dangerous.
