My wife tried to return it to the store and she was told that she was entitled to a refund but that they needed my card. She left the phone in the store and I went in on Wednesday 20th to collect the refund.

My main complaint is the way your staff treated me and my wife. Gary, walked away from me whilst I was speaking to him. I had to ask his colleagues to call him back several times. When my wife was there, I spoke to someone who claimed to be called Ashton (but didn’t have a name tag and refused to show us proof of their name) rudely asked my wife and I to leave the shop in front of our eight-year-old daughters because we were ‘pestering him’.

don't bother buying anything. ive asked them to fix my mouse on warranty they claim its my pc fault. issue with my pc. my beast of a desktop. erm no. ive bought the exact same mouse new works fine. dont waste your money and time on useless hardware. they are not skilled enough to know how to fix anything. keep away. warranty 24 months my arse. never shopping there again go to a respectable second hand retailer like the one next door game no complaints, dont let these pirates take your cash they have no idea what theyre doing. those who cant get a good job at a good it firm go to cex.

When I challenged this, the store supervisor (Gary) became quite dismissive. He told me that the manager was not available and when I asked for his full name he refused to give it to me.

If you find something good they probably won't have the disc

How is it acceptable to give someone a really rubbish and broken DVD in a busted case once for every four items ordered on average? Also how is it acceptable to offer no compensation other than a refund for the DVD (which will take a couple of days to clear!) when someone has had to go out of their way to return it, paying petrol and parking?!? Andy the branch Manager is incompetent and should be fired! Rude and useless. Don’t shop with CEX!!!

You sold us a faulty second-hand phone and then instead of being decent and refunding it as you were legally obligated to your staff made us jump through unnecessary hoops and wasted a ridiculous amount of our time.

When my wife eventually made it into town they then gave me a full refund (without even checking her ID).

When I went with my card to collect the refund I was told that they couldn’t give it to me unless my wife was there. This was rather annoying, as getting into town isn’t particularly easy for us especially as we have young children. My wife and I have the same surname and I showed them several documents (including my wife’s English Heritage card which was in my wallet). They still wouldn’t give me a refund unless she was present. I paid my card, I went to collect the refund on my card, and I was told that my wife was needed for the transaction to happen.

We recently purchased a second-hand phone for our 12 year old son (the phone was purchased from your Cambridge store on Sunday 17th December). When we got home and tried to set it up it seemed faulty. The same day we returned to the store and after waiting 40 minutes we were told by the staff that the phone was fine. It was indeed working. The next morning, on Monday 18th the phone became completely unresponsive.

It seems as if your staff were going out of their way to make it difficult for me to get my refund. Your store was legally obligated to refund my money and your staff were refusing to do so unless my wife was present. This was absurd.

I have never in my life been treated so rudely or dismissively. It was humiliating, degrading and your staff acted with a total lack of kindness or professionalism.

We had to waste a lot of money on getting into town and parking, we were treated like garbage by your staff on multiple occasions, and when the process was over we were kicked out of your store.

A big queue to be served but staff were friendly and polite. A great selection of games and accessories for all console and pc. They also have DVDs and Blu-rays. I couldn't find what I wanted cheaper at any other shops
